From Hwy 99 in Merced: Exit freeway turning east on V Street, cross over railroad tracks, turn left at stop light, get into right lane and merge on to North Hwy 59. Continue on N. Hwy 59 past the Merced County Landfill, turn left on Oakdale Road. Stay on Oakdale Road about 3 miles. Washington School is just past the canal on the right.

Objectives:

Receive an update on Community Alliance of Family Farmers' (CAFF) CALFED Merced River Stewardship Project progress;
Discuss and possibly vote on selection of representative Merced River Stakeholders participants to Merced County’s Natural Communities Conservation Plan (NCCP) & Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) stakeholder and advisory committees.
Determine if existing stakeholder mission, goals, & objectives are still applicable and if they need to be updated; and
Understand various ways the stakeholders could choose to govern themselves and whether or not stakeholders want to implement governance procedures.
Begin to generate an inventory (on graphic for wall mounting) of history, existing grants, projects, easements, land use, etc. on Merced River. This graphic inventory will be brought to whole group meetings and added to as new information becomes available;

Update on Community Alliance of Family Farmers' (CAFF) CALFED Merced River Stewardship Project;
Discuss posting Merced Water Supply Plan on MRS Website; and
Revisit decision by Stakeholders in November to form small issues-related work groups and determine Stakeholder preferred course of action for future efforts; and
Discuss list of potential funding sources for the restoration actions that were voted on by the group; review and discuss draft proposals for regarding preservation of floodplain and riparian resources and the eradication of non-native, invasive plant species; and distribute contact information about how to get a final copy of the Restoration Plan.
